domin8 Posted August 2, 2019 at 03:02 AM Share Posted August 2, 2019 at 03:02 AM I've been carrying concealed a Glock 30S with the 13 round magazines from the Glock 21 & 41 (I have both) everyday since the 30S first came out over 5 years ago. Today I decided it was time to break it completely down and give it a deep cleaning via the Hornady Sonic Cleaner. Since I use Frog Lube (I love the stuff, and don't need to worry about my kids dying because they got into it and licked their fingers or ate the paste) this is a process that takes some time and I can't do it in one sitting. I'm playing single parent until November while my wife is deployed, so it's my responsibility to answer the slightest whimper. Don't worry. The gun is broken down and the ammo is locked away. Anyways, today I decided to carry my fullsize Sig P320 9mm in FDE. I've had this gun since Christmas 2017, but it has only hung on the gun wall since it got its initial cleaning and lubricating. I originally aquired this gun so I could work military noncombatants (my wife being one of them) to help them become more prepared and acclimated to the new service pistol (X17 and X18). I really like the way this gun feels. I might carry this one a bit more, and get a black one just like it (because I'm an equal opportunity offender, lol). The more I handle Sigs the more like them. I need to pick up some 1911s and Legions. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
Raw Power Posted August 2, 2019 at 12:33 PM Share Posted August 2, 2019 at 12:33 PM I shot a p320 at training earlier in the summer, and it was really nice. Tempted to get one, but I don't know if I need another 9mm. Trying to keep it 9 and .45 for all my pistols, but I keep looking .357 sig over and over and over. Winter carry is easy, and I've been liking the 365 for summer a lot. Has a fantastic stock trigger. Only problem with it is that I'm not comfortable appendix carrying a striker fired gun. Personal preference. If it was DA/SA, it would be perfect.
RS1 Posted August 2, 2019 at 01:19 PM Share Posted August 2, 2019 at 01:19 PM My preferred carry is a P229 RX. Similar profile to the P320c. I love it and shoot it the best of all my pistols but it's often too big/bulky and sometimes I end up going out the door with a P365 (4 O'clock like the P229) or BG .380 (AIWB) when it's not jacket weather. I'm considering getting a 365 with safety and either milling the 365 for a micro RMR or waiting until Sig makes (pretty sure one is coming). Like Raw Power, not a fan of AWIB striker with no manual safety. Just my personal hangup. Anyway, to the OP, the P320 is a great carry. But get your hands on some P226 and P229 DA/SA. Mike Posted August 2, 2019 at 03:39 PM Share Posted August 2, 2019 at 03:39 PM Before you get another full size check out the Sig P320 x-compact. To me its the perfect size for carry and fits my hand best.
Raw Power Posted August 2, 2019 at 03:39 PM Share Posted August 2, 2019 at 03:39 PM Pretty sure the 365XL is out and has a RMR slide cutout. And I'm also fairly sure I saw something about a model with a manual safety, but I try to keep that out of carry guns since MoA can make those problematic for me since I carry a few different types. RS1 Posted August 2, 2019 at 04:45 PM Share Posted August 2, 2019 at 04:45 PM Yeah, the 365XL does offer a cutout but I really like the form factor of the regular (small) 365. There are 3rd parties that will do a custom job but I'm OK waiting. So many options though. I have always had safties on my small carry guns (except the 365 currently) so from a MoA perspective it's second nature. Small grip, sweep safety. InterestedBystander Posted August 2, 2019 at 05:10 PM Share Posted August 2, 2019 at 05:10 PM The manual safety on P365 was announced earlier this year and supposedly started shipping in June. Last time I was in LGS I tried the P320 and the P365. Thought the P365 had a more comfortable grip for my hand.

domin8 Posted August 3, 2019 at 01:30 AM Author Share Posted August 3, 2019 at 01:30 AM It's almost un American not to own a 1911 They aren't a cheap as plastic guns, and unless I'm willing to travel to my state of residence (Utah) to pick it up, I need the wife to approve the purchase of a new marital asset. She gets a better deal, too. The Marine Corp Exchange out here has the best deals. They're usually about $50 cheaper than the Coast Guard Exchange. The Air Force Exchange is the most expensive, until you start looking at the LGS. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
