I hope these guys don't fold over there! Bring them to another state temporarily if you have to, but do not register!

Please explain the difference to me . Registration or Moving them out of state is 1 and the same . The State Wins .

I am sure my Fore Fathers did not want to risk death either , they drew a line in the sand and stood there ground against the Tyranny of the British .

Bring them to another state, and you still own them, and are not yet a felon, whereas if you keep them in the state and don't register, you are a felon and subject to arrest. It buys time to figure out a game plan. That is the difference. And at the least in another state i still own them and the state has not won, cause i haven't registered them.

And if you think the line in the sand needs to be drawn, then that is what i mean by buying time. A coordinated effort by all is needed, that takes time....by moving them to another state i have bought time to figure out what that effort might consist of, and avoid being locked up where i can make no effort at all and now have no guns anywhere. You choose to fight alone and you will go to jail alone. They need tens of thousands to respond, and that isnt going to be done in a few days. When you have ten thousand people ib the street your effort goes much further then being some lone gunman.

How are they going to know which people own register-able rifles if the people neglected to register them in the first place?

Also, there was a particular point in time where CT residents had to apply to get a permit just to buy a pistol.

And just what would motivate the "Individuals" that have "bought time" OH wait for the courts to save Us ??????

You can call it what you want I will call it what I want "Cowardice" if you move/hide/bury/boating accident.

Would hiding them in another state be akin to hiding them by burying them?

One could draw that conclusion.

ETA: The folks at Sipsey Street Irregulars just upped the ante by publishing the home addresses of all the legislators who voted in favor of the bill:

rather than question me on what I think is a viable option, what do you suggest they do??? Cause you have knocked my suggestion but not come up with any of your own. As for not being able to bring them to neighboring states, who said it has to be the next state over??? Bring them to whatever state you want, or as Ty said, bury the dang things and say they are in another state, but if you choose to register, you are headed towards confiscation. So if holding onto them by whatever means necessary is cowardice, then go ahead, when they come to your front door, you choose whatever path you want. I assure you, if you fight alone, you will not win and you will look like some crazy gunman.

You mention our founding fathers willing to die for a cause....do you think they ever hid guns along the way before organizing and preparing?? They did hide guns at times, temporarily, as I stated, so that when the time came and preparations were made, they at least still had them. I don't think we are against each other, as much as you are making it seem that my suggestion is some crazy idea that no one else has ever said before, I am simply saying until you have a game plan, what will you do? My thoughts are moving them is the next best thing versus A.) shooting it out, or B.) registering.

If you have some other idea, enlighten us.

Wouldn't the easy answer be to just answer the letter by stating that you rendered them inoperable. Take the AR's apart and hide the bolt/carrier, take the magazine plates off and hide the guts somewhere.

Render them inoperable, move them to another state, bury them....do what you want....that is my point, so yes, that is at least another idea or suggestion to consider.

Until an effort is put forth by those thousands who want to resist this, they need to buy time rather then make themselves felons and risk being arrested. When thousands are marching together, you can make changes, you will get noticed. Making a decision to "stand and fight" and say to the authority, I am keeping my gun and NOT registering, you are asking for an immediate fight that you won't win. And I am not saying a fight isn't needed, but choose it on your terms not theirs.

My point from my original post was simply that it takes time to get organized and decide how to resist, and until then, those who want to resist, need to make sure they are not having knee jerk reactions that will force them to jail or death, which means one less guy standing side by side the rest of us.

Let's say the people of CT want to do some sort of peaceful protest or march....how many of us could get out there tomorrow or in the next week? I know I couldn't. But, how many of us could, or would get out there if we had a month to plan, to get off work, to make arrangements to join our brothers out there and sit side by side with them. Swelling the numbers is a way to get attention. The line has been drawn, some of these guys are not registering,...but the next step is organizing and coming up with an appropriate response as a group., knee jerk reactions at an individual level will not win the fight.
