Looks like we still have some friends on our side! HB0274 is a big one, we need this law to stop places like Chicago and Northbrook from violating the spirit of our carry law. InterestedBystander Posted January 10, 2019 at 06:54 PM Share Posted January 10, 2019 at 06:54 PM Sadly, shell bills are already being introduced as well i.e. lets replace "the" with "the". I understand it procedurally, strategically and tactically, but...
Patriots & Tyrants Posted January 10, 2019 at 07:38 PM Share Posted January 10, 2019 at 07:38 PM Yeah that is the weird thing with IL Politics; they can transform shell bills into basically anything at any time
TRJ Posted January 10, 2019 at 07:50 PM Share Posted January 10, 2019 at 07:50 PM I'm thinking we need to reach out to Stava Murray and talk to her about how the shell bills circumvent proper procedure from being followed. She might be a lefty, but I believe she believes in good and fair government.
ealcala31 Posted January 10, 2019 at 09:30 PM Share Posted January 10, 2019 at 09:30 PM If their adjourned until 01/29, will that hold up the Gun Licensing Bill?
mauserme Posted January 10, 2019 at 09:52 PM Author Share Posted January 10, 2019 at 09:52 PM If their adjourned until 01/29, will that hold up the Gun Licensing Bill? I'm past trying to predict what they're doing with that bill. The longer this goes the more likely they'll send it to Governor Pritzger. I still don't see how that's legal or logical, but this is Illinois.

InterestedBystander Posted January 10, 2019 at 10:54 PM Share Posted January 10, 2019 at 10:54 PM From what I recall of prior bills, they do not need to be in session to send bill to governor.
