EXCLUSIVE: State Rep. Allen Skillicorn escapes Illinois for Arizona. He was one of the few legislators who actually fought for us and the people of Illinois. There are only a handful now of good people left in Springfield. Join us in thanking Allen for his work! #RestoreIllinois

Where did you hear that? I just do not see it being reported yet.

Its on Facebook with his letter as to why.

Didn't he lose reelection to Suzzane Ness? https://www.dailyherald.com/news/20201104/democrat-ness-ousts-republican-incumbent-skillicorn-in-house-66th-district

Not really a resignation if he lost. Seems more like he is being an attention hog

The present legislative session ends on the 2nd Tuesday of January after the election, and the new session starts on the 3rd Wednesday.

He is resigning before his term is completed. Theoretically, he could voted on bills in the lame duck session.

Does it make any difference in this case? No.

I offer my best wishes to him and luck on his new adventure. He was a solid rep for Illinois in his day.
