Flynn Posted December 27, 2018 at 04:07 AM Share Posted December 27, 2018 at 04:07 AM I did a search and didn't come up with any hits for this case https://www.supremecourt.gov/search.aspx?filename=/docket/docketfiles/html/public/18-663.html I believe this is a case we need to watch closely, as it could help re-define and clarify many issues in the obviously divided lower courts many of which seem to be totally ignoring the precedent in Heller and McDonald simply because they don't like it or don't accept it. I looked for some summary pieces about the case and this is one of the better ones. https://reason.com/volokh/2018/12/20/supreme-court-should-clarify-second-amen
Euler Posted December 27, 2018 at 04:30 AM Share Posted December 27, 2018 at 04:30 AM We have Mance v. Lynch (CA5 Interstate Handgun Transfers). It's an archived thread, though, so no posts can be added. I read about it a few months ago. I can't recall where. EDIT: It might have been Appeals Court Tees Up Interstate Handgun Sale Ban for Possible Supreme Court Review.
Flynn Posted December 27, 2018 at 05:06 AM Author Share Posted December 27, 2018 at 05:06 AM We have Mance v. Lynch (CA5 Interstate Handgun Transfers). It's an archived thread, though, so no posts can be added. Since it's currently docketed with the Supreme Court, and literally had activity today, a current and new thread is in order because it could pan out to be a huge ruling. Euler Posted April 11, 2019 at 12:56 AM Share Posted April 11, 2019 at 12:56 AM Should we get this thread added to the opening post of Judicial Case Index and Archives, since the Mance v. Lynch (CA5 Interstate Handgun Transfers) thread is archived?
