I think one thing the soda tax did was make McCormick place even less attractive to conventioneers.

 

 

 

I think the one thing THEY learned is not to make a yet another tax people can mostly easily avoid.

The projection from August was 18 Million they got 300K so regardless if this tax was repealed or not it wasn't going to work...

I bet they aren't getting beans on the cigarette tax either.

...or the ammo tax.

Yep, that's about it. The Democrat politicians would never consider actually cutting their "money for cronies" programs and actually spending within their means!

For the most part, I agree. Put putting another .25 or bill in the machine for $3.25 would be a show stopper for me though...

Haha...unfortunately, Illinois will have two senators not matter what. In today's climate, I think it's safe to say that both of them have lifetime jobs.
