Bradley v. Kelly - FOID processing delays challenged as unconstitutional

Recommended Posts

ISRA and SAF have filed a lawsuit in the Northern Illinois US District court challenging the long delays for issuing/renewing FOID cards. They ask that delays beyond the statutory 30 days be declared unconstitutional and that FOIDS be issued to all plaintiff as well as members who have waited more than 30 days. Despite the moderate request, the complaint raises numerous issues regarding FOID constitutionality, presumably to preserve those issues for review at the appellate level.
