Cordell34 I was convicted of simple possession and put on 1410 probation(which my lawyer told me my charge would go away once completed). But, the FOID application asks if you've ever been "charged".

check your record to make sure everything was cleared. If your charge goes away once completed then I would say you answer no. But make sure your record is completely clear before doing so.

I was denied my FOID about 9 months ago. Now that I'm about to get my record expunged, do I reapply or appeal the denial? Also can I answer "no" now about ever being charged with a felony?

In this case, I would think you will have to appeal the denial. You will need to submit the appeal request, the waiver of investigation, and certified court documents showing the charges were cleared.
