Birthday gift

So, my wife and I have a soft $100 limit we imposed for birthday gifts for each other, and her one rule this time around is no new guns but firearm related items are fair game. Reason no new guns is even worth mentioning is I have about $100 in the "gun money fund" so if I tossed my own $$$ in, I could get something around $200. I was kinda thinking about a steel framed Heritage Roughrider (can't have the alloy frame one in IL), and still think I might be able to coerce her but we'll see. She wants to actually get something for my birthday, so stashing the $100 to use later is a no go.

Anyway, here are the ideas I've been tossing around...

-Ammo, for obvious reasons.

-Choate Tactical stock for my Savage 10 FCP (really not a necessity as I don't shoot long range and will probably not use it past 200 yards, but would still be nicer than the OEM polymer stock especially with the full length bedding)

-Lead Sled Solo (I have a Caldwell Matrix, which works but the Solo would definitely be easier to be more precise with)

I'm pretty set on optics, mags, storage. Any other ideas for shooting/range items I don't know I need?

New holster? Something spiffy enough for the 'Bar-B-Que gun.

Extra magazines for your favorite EDC? Really can't have too many. Throw in a holster for the mags that actually fits.

Upgraded lock box for stowing the EDC in the car/truck when you hit a CPZ-signed store?

Turn it around, make your birthday celebration a 'go out on a special date night' with the better half......gather lots and lots of "Ain't he sweet?" points from the wife. A couple of hundred bucks would take care of a couple's trip to the range, then dinner at a favorite restaurant, then dancing/movie/what-not, and if you push it, a stayover at a Ramada or Hilton.

It's worked for me.

If either of you have any Eeeeevil Black Rifles, this:

Is a pretty durned good trigger for the money.

Better trigger at a better price. https://www.larue.com/category/parts-accessories/lower-parts/triggers/ (full disclosure, I'm a LaRue fanboy)

Besides, the one you listed is OOS.

I've heard of the LaRue trigger (one of the LGS employees really likes 'em), but I haven't had a chance to try one yet. I didn't want to recommend anything I hadn't tried in person: I have one of the Rise triggers in a 6.5 Grendel build I did a while back and was really happy with it.

Hadn't noticed that it was OOS at Brownell's, but $129 or so seems to be the standard price, and they're common enough that you could find one in DuckDuckGo.

If the LaRue triggers are that good, I may have to finally bite the bullet and try one: I was looking at getting another Rise to upgrade an AR-10. The question would be compatibility.
