junglebob Posted May 25, 2014 at 09:44 PM Share Posted May 25, 2014 at 09:44 PM I applied for my FCCL in January. I tried today to get back on the license process but it says I don't have the latest Java program. I started the process a while back for my wife but it didn't get finished, will installing a new Java program now cause problems?

carringnrockford Posted May 25, 2014 at 10:22 PM Share Posted May 25, 2014 at 10:22 PM Have you changed browsers? I started using Foxfire when there was that crazy issue with Explorer and there was some adjustments needed after that but works great now. WillT Posted May 26, 2014 at 02:15 AM Share Posted May 26, 2014 at 02:15 AM Always keep it updated. Most general software updates also include security updates, and it's important to have the latest of those.
nulloverride Posted May 27, 2014 at 11:00 PM Share Posted May 27, 2014 at 11:00 PM Yeah I ran into the same thing when I tried to finish applying. Just updated Java and then it worked!

Yeah I ran into the same thing when I tried to finish applying. Just updated Java and then it worked! O.K. I went to the site. It says Java program needs to be updated. I click on update Java and sends me to Java site. I go back to the ISP site and it still tells me I don't have the updated Java program. When are those paper applications going to be available? It's like I'm at the ObamaCare website, from what I've heard anyway.
WtJen Posted May 28, 2014 at 03:09 PM Share Posted May 28, 2014 at 03:09 PM Go to the Java site, install the latest and greatest Java. Then reboot your computer. Sometimes that is what it takes.

WillT Posted May 28, 2014 at 05:50 PM Share Posted May 28, 2014 at 05:50 PM Go directly to http://java.com/en/ It may be slightly different if you're running a 64 bit processor (which most newer computers do) but it should automatically detect what you're running and take you to the correct software package. InterestedBystander Posted June 12, 2014 at 01:26 AM Share Posted June 12, 2014 at 01:26 AM I'm still able to login. Takes about 8-10 seconds to authenticate. I sometimes get a message about a new version of Java is available but I just click later and am still able to get in.

I sometimes get a message about a new version of Java is available but I just click later and am still able to get in. I just got the latest and greatest Java version days ago. I click on to check and it says I have the latest version. I go to the ISP website and wait several minutes and the box never comes up to run Java. I enter user name and password in the boxes and wait 5 minutes with the little arrow going in a circle and get nowhere. Did the same company design the isp license site design the Obamacare website? If the Amazon or Ebay websites were this hard to use they would have been out of business years ago.
junglebob Posted June 14, 2014 at 12:38 AM Author Share Posted June 14, 2014 at 12:38 AM Well I tried the ISP website again. I get a box come up that says your version of Java is insecure. There is a box to check that says I accept the risk and want to run this ap. However I'm not able to check the box. Do they change the #@*& Java program every day? I'm really getting tired of looking at that arrow circle going around by the word Java check and around and around and around and around and getting nowhere!
