CCL and Expiring DL Soon

So.

Considering my CCL has been going on since 3/26 and was rejected on 10/1 because the certificate was improperly filled out.

I am waiting for something from ISP to let me know what’s going on.

My DL expires on 1/26/2019 and I was going to go in soon to renew my DL.

My question is, is renewing my DL no going to cause even more delays on my CCL.

Just waiting...

You can renew your Illinois driver license up to one year before its expiration. Go get it now.

Valid Driver's License

You can renew your valid IL driver's license at different times depending on how long your current card is valid for:

  • Driver licenses valid for 2 years or 4 years: Up to 1 year before the expiration date.
  • Driver's license valid 1 year: Up to 6 months before the expiration date.

My DL expires the third week of January. I just went in to DMV, did the vision test, and paid my $30. It took a little over a week for the new card to arrive.

I've been checking for the renew button to pop up on my CCL renewal, but it hasn't yet. I've got an early April expiry on that, so I might not see a renew button until January! Just the same, wanted the DL dealt with since the FCCL information must match the DL exactly. Having them both pending at the same time is going to cause delays and headaches.
