ILgunguy Posted August 7, 2018 at 06:12 PM Share Posted August 7, 2018 at 06:12 PM Saw this today on Google. It's a mushy feel good piece about MDA and Watts, but what it really does is give us a kick in the butt for why we need to get to the polls. https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2018/08/07/moms-demand-action-gun-control-219160

We have 6000 people show up in the Illinois capitol to protect our 2nd amendment rights, and no one covers it.Perhaps that's something you should nicely ask the author at Politico about? madcow1007 Posted August 9, 2018 at 11:43 AM Share Posted August 9, 2018 at 11:43 AM She "thinks she's on the right side of history". She thinks too much of herself. She probably won't be on any side of history but on the chance she is, the beginning of the downfall will probably be traced to that "Indiana kitchen". That's why it is good to remember this quote attributed to the author C. S. Lewis ("Chronicles of Narnia"): “Of all the tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their consciences.” These people are self-righteous and sanctimonious hypocrites and will never stop. GWBH Posted August 18, 2018 at 02:02 AM Share Posted August 18, 2018 at 02:02 AM One of my instructors while in the military said this:" I kinda feel sorry for the draft dodgers that went to Canada... they have nothing larger to believe in than themselves..."Sure fits the liberal fanatics the NFL players who "take a knee"..
