Illinois tax revenue from Marijuana sales to be used to fund local gun control groups

Yup. Guess we might as well start smoking legal weed and help fund our own demise lol. Curious to see if the ISRA mentions any of this in tomorrows Thursday email. Everyday that goes by is thousands of dollars put into the R3 program by unsuspecting gun owners that are buying legal weed

Do you actually think the people buying weed are going to stop buying weed because part of the taxes might go to gun control groups?

Are you saying that gun owners who started buying legal weed and arent aware are too stupid/addicted to stop? You dont think people should know on larger scale what theyre funding? Tax a look at the latest tax docs for local gun control groups and then compare in a few years when the 2020/2021 990s are available.

 

 

Also the way they bought it before 1/20/20 is still available as well (cheaper too, and not condoning it).

Sure they should know what they are funding, it was in the bill all along, right? Doesn't hurt to remind people about it. Stuff like this has been going on for decades, gun control groups invited to participate in task force discussions and our groups have to fight tooth and nail to participate. gun control groups get into the legislators and governors offices while they close the door on us. This is what comes with anti-gunners having the majority in the House, Senate, and the Governor's office. Elections have consequences and we can thank all those folks who couldn't stomach voting for the recent gov.

Sure they should know what they are funding, it was in the bill all along, right? Doesn't hurt to remind people about it. Did you see the composition of the grant board??? Farrakhan, Joe Stalin, Trotsky, Jesse Jackson, AOC, Beto and the Soviet Politburo may as well compromise it. And, if Lt. Gov. Pothead thinks it won't vote her way even though she chairs it, she has discretion to add more members. It's a freaking joke!! Just a taxpayer funded mechanism to fund their agenda and supporters, which -- SURPRISE!! -- works to keep them in power.

Could be. If they are already "prohibited", the more the antis take from us, the less danger they face. After all, they are criminals already. One more law isn't going to affect them.

This thing sounds so weird. It looks like those who smoke marijuana contribute to the funding the local gun control groups. What if the gun owners are those marijuana traders?
