SB1657 VETO OVERIDE TUESDAY

Well, they only have 15 days to override that I think is up on Wed (yes, IGOLD) for the Senate to act so its going to need to be in the next couple of days. Even if they don't have the numbers, I suppose they have nothing to lose by calling it. (BTW, Tomorrow Tues is the 24th)

Thanks, I fixed it. Funny how they know this info. isn't it ???

I'll send some emails at first light, and make some calls as soon as they're offices are open for business. Thanks for the heads up OP. I've already contacted both of my reps about this, but one more respectful call and letter won't hurt.

I was expecting this to be sprung by them at the last minute, which it HAS been:

They HAVE to have the vote tomorrow (well at 3am it's today .... Tuesday)-

we would make too much media hay with it being defeated on the DAY that we all go down to Springfield.

It would look like we WON, and there would be NO escaping the fact that, in reporting the demise of the bill,

that gun owners marched, congesting the streets of Springfield and the corridors of the State Capitol.

By going down in flames on Tuesday, they can avoid covering us along with their failure.

And yes, the media is as complicit in this as Bloomie, the moms, emmanuael, Cupich and all the rest.

I look at it this way: We will KNOW, from the start of IGOLD, whether or not it is DEAD,

instead of being on tenterhooks during the day Wednesday, until the Senate adjourns.

When this bill gets sunk today the media will do a 10 second report if that. and when we all show up tomorrow it will show the politicians we're not done yet.

Emailed and called Oberwise but he has voted yes to this before I don’t see him budging. Kinda sad for a small business man himself in the beginning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Oberweis was a no vote to dealer licensing. He gave a yes to bumpstock ban. No reason why he would flip on the dealer bill though.

I could have swore I saw him yeah for this. Maybe it was the posting I saw it was a list of current bills. I saw him yes in the bump stock bans but maybe it appeared close to this one. I’ll look again.

Have you ever met Jim Oberweis? I have. He's a few scoops short of a pint. Only where he is in business due to his bloodline.
