CCW mail forwarded?

I'm moving to Brookfield in a week. I'm stuck with the lease ay my apartment, but I'm going to sublease it. Question: Will the post office forward my renewed CCW permit to my new address? Sometimes certain companies or govt agencies will put "do not forward" on pieces of mail. I'm just wondering if I should wait to forward my mail.

wait, and then once you get it, relish in the fact that you have to spend $80 ($75 for CCL and $5 for FOID) to change you address - every time you move, and wait another 4 months to see them again. The good thing is that your license remains valid and you can carry on the one you have while you wait for the new address one to arrive. So try not to move often, it is really expensive.

If memory serves me correctly the envelope has verbiage not to forward.

Not only that, if you have your mail on hold at the post office because you are on vacation, the USPS returns your CCL/ FOID to the ISP, where it sits.
Eh? They dont forward but my cards were in the "hold" pile when I picked up my mail and resumed delivery.

Very recently I received my FOID during a mail (vacation) hold and it was in the pile of mail I received when I returned.

Well, they screwed up and sent mine back.

I'm gonna wait it out. I already have to pay again to update my address, I really don't want the hassle of it probably being returned and having to deal with whatever Illinois bureaucratic headache results from it.
