.40carry Posted April 20, 2018 at 07:14 PM Share Posted April 20, 2018 at 07:14 PM house is adjourned until monday at 3pm Monday at 3 p.m.? Why so late? So they can have a full weekend with their families. And a partial week screwing ours, got ya.It's a bonus for us....the more time they are away from the peoples house, the less time they have to spend in the enterprise of infringing on our liberties. I'd be fine with quite a few of them taking 365 days a year off to spend with their families.
InterestedBystander Posted April 20, 2018 at 07:29 PM Share Posted April 20, 2018 at 07:29 PM Does anyone know how early you can apply for FOID renewal? Doesn't look like HB4855 would address that specifically. I know a Drivers license or State ID can be renewed starting 364 days before expiration.Officialy at 60 days but some have reported getting a letter or their FOID renew button opening up a bit sooner. mauserme Posted April 20, 2018 at 09:33 PM Author Share Posted April 20, 2018 at 09:33 PM Amendemnt 2 was filed on HB1470 this afternoon: Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Criminal Code of 2012. Changes references in the statute on unlawful sale of firearms from "sell" or "give" to "transfer". Prohibits multiple sales of handguns within a 30-day period. Creates the offense of unlawful acquisition of handguns. Provides exemptions and affirmative defenses. Penalty is a Class A misdemeanor for a first offense and a Class 4 felony for a second or subsequent offense. Provides that notwithstanding any other rulemaking authority that may exist, neither the Governor nor any agency or agency head under the jurisdiction of the Governor has any authority to make or adopt rules to implement or enforce the provisions of the bill. This is tweaking the same bill that proposed one gun per month earlier. .
