Hey guys, recently moved to IL and applied for my FOID card almost 2 weeks ago. Previously I lived in AZ, AR, and MO so I never knew what this whole FOID card thing was.

I'm still waiting for a decision. If I remember correctly there should be a decision in 30 days right? What happens if it takes longer than that?

This whole process is a little bizarre to me.

Sit back and be patient. This state works at their own pace.

If it takes longer, then it takes longer. There is no penalty if they do not meet the 30 day window.

The ISP has been doing really well on getting new FOID cards out in the 30 day time line.
