DG53 Posted May 22, 2018 at 04:01 AM Share Posted May 22, 2018 at 04:01 AM Alright, I cant decide. I want to buy a long slide Glock. Most of my collection is made up of 9mm Glocks, but I do own and love shooting my Glock 29 in 10mm. Buying the 34 would be more economical. Buying the 40 would be more fun and I would never have to look for another backpacking gun. Help me decide! Vote in the poll and share your reason as a comment. Thanks!! TRJ Posted May 22, 2018 at 10:11 AM Share Posted May 22, 2018 at 10:11 AM I'd look at options to buy the larger frame and get a caliber change barrel and stuff. Best of both possibly.

ChicagoRonin70 Posted May 22, 2018 at 06:17 PM Share Posted May 22, 2018 at 06:17 PM Go for the Glock 40 and then get a 9mm conversion barrel for it. I have had 9mm conversion barrels made for my G29, and the ONLY change I need to make to fire 9mm out of it is swapping the recoil spring for a lighter weight one (15 instead of 17 pound). For both of them, I'd recommend getting a tungsten recoil spring assembly, because it directs the recoil backwards better and ensures the firearm cycles consistently. I'll expand on that; you don't even need to use different magazines or swap out the extractor or ejector. The 10mm ones works on 9mm just fine, plus you get several extra 9mm rounds in a 10mm magazine for capacity.

Not many of them around and very few on the used market.
Kruz Posted May 26, 2018 at 04:58 PM Share Posted May 26, 2018 at 04:58 PM Get the 40 MOS first and try the barrel swap. I bought the 34 MOS before the 40 was offered and while I like it for 3gun I have to use 124g to parent shells casings from flying back into my RDS. I will have a 40 MOS this year.
