Overcompensation for manhood, paranoia, "who needs to carry in a zoo?", gins shouldn't be around children, etc.
lockman Posted February 22, 2016 at 08:18 PM Share Posted February 22, 2016 at 08:18 PM Since they claim they are a school, the local/state government should enforce the classroom security and safety laws that apply to schools to all the zoo buildings. Ripe for appeal. I guess an entity is now whatever they "identify as".
Glock23 Posted February 22, 2016 at 08:36 PM Share Posted February 22, 2016 at 08:36 PM Correction... still no "open carry" at the St. Louis zoo. 1. Concealed is concealed. 2. Violating a prohibited area is not a criminal offense in Missouri.
lockman Posted February 23, 2016 at 01:31 AM Share Posted February 23, 2016 at 01:31 AM Right now you can be charged with contempt of a court order.
jamiphar Posted March 4, 2016 at 04:06 AM Share Posted March 4, 2016 at 04:06 AM I wonder how this plays with Amendment 5, which makes owning and bearing arms unalienable and says the courts must use strict scrutiny regarding any gun charges. If I remember correctly, an officer has to have probable cause to believe you guilty of a crime independent from you carrying a gun to even ask you to show a license. GTX63 Posted March 4, 2016 at 11:48 AM Share Posted March 4, 2016 at 11:48 AM "Guns shouldn't be around children"? A buddy of mine has sworn off ever going into the ocean again after watching a tv program in which a helicopter filmed swimmers in 5' of water off the Carolina coast, in which dozens of sharks were visible in ocean all around them. We don't see them so we don't know. Take an overhead of the zoo encompassing say, 200 people and post their criminal records next to each figure and one might think twice about going anywhere without a firearm.
