Also, earlier this year, Everytown was listed as one of the top 10 lobbyists at the state level. Please forward to friends/relatives in Kentucky. borgranta Posted October 10, 2019 at 08:20 PM Share Posted October 10, 2019 at 08:20 PM Sounds to me like the members of the association have entered into a conspiracy to deprive people of their rights and that is a federal crime.
Quiet Observer Posted October 10, 2019 at 09:21 PM Share Posted October 10, 2019 at 09:21 PM It is so easy to want to deny rights to those with whom we disagree. Darn that pesky Bill of Rights. Amendment 1 - Freedom of Religion, Press, Expression. Ratified 12/15/1791. Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. madcow1007 Posted October 25, 2019 at 03:34 PM Share Posted October 25, 2019 at 03:34 PM All of these medical associations are similarly run by far left academics. My wife is a physician and to maintain her board certification she is obligated to be a member of the american medical association and the american academy of pediatrics. As part of each several hundred dollar membership they send their propaganda material to our house. She regularly sends them notes voicing her opposition to their positions. All these medical orgs are dark money 501c4 Social Welfare and 501c6 business leagues. They take corporate money in, than spend it on lobbying efforts to gain favorable policy. Also notable is how they directly pay DNC politicians. These organizations host fundraising events, marches, canvassing, and bombard members with media to make direct donations to politicians. They also substantially overpay the politically connected consulting and media companies whos employers than max out their personal donation limits. https://splinternews.com/democrats-who-swore-off-corporate-campaign-donations-ar-1830082624 Remember, this is exactly what Dinesh D'Souza was sent to jail for. But when your the DNC you write the rules on fundraising and avoid the same prison sentences your adversaries face. Republicans use SuperPACs, theyre transparent in the flow of money so they get a bad name of corporations buying politicians. But they are at a huge disadvantage because SuperPAC money cant actually go to the politicians campaign, they must be independently spent on media. The DNC gets to tell their low information voters they only accept personal donations, while actually getting corporate money DIRECTLY into their campaign coffers, albeit through an obscured process. You see mainly the insurance, medical, and pharmaceutical industry having a heavy hand in DNC politics via this scheme because Obamacare opened a massive firehose of money that directly benefits the profits of those companies. Its why we spend the same amount of taxpayer dollars as every country with public healthcare, but double the per patient cost as every other country with private industry fees (according to the world health organization).
