Just some guy Posted March 16, 2018 at 06:02 PM Share Posted March 16, 2018 at 06:02 PM It is important for Governor Rauner to veto HB1465 and HB1468 BEFORE the primary. Voters deserve to know where he stands.
cls74 Posted March 16, 2018 at 06:11 PM Share Posted March 16, 2018 at 06:11 PM Only 1468 has been sent to the Governor so he cannot veto both of them.
G214me Posted March 16, 2018 at 06:32 PM Share Posted March 16, 2018 at 06:32 PM Not sure but doesn't HB1465 have to go back to the House for concurrence vote because the Senate added the amendment ???? If so Rauner won't get it on his desk until after the primary. But YES we need to demand a veto and also demand no over rides.

I was looking at http://www.isra.org/News/TabId/1068/ArtMID/4612/ArticleID/28192/ISRA-Thursday-Bulletin-March-15-2018.aspx On Wednesday, March 14, three bad gun bills were jammed through the Illinois Senate. Two of these, HB1465 and HB1468, are on the way to the Governor’s desk for signature or veto. Is this incorrect?

I think so, the senate amendment that was tacked on has to go back to the house before it goes to Rauner...

Only if he uses Tannerite without a FOID /s but seriously HB1465 amended with affirmative defense so must go back to House for concurrence HB1467 amended to repeal state preemption so also must go back to House for concurrence HB1468 passed as is and being sent to Governor for sign or veto.
