On the Fox news website...

If the first one doesn't work, here is the Fox News link…

Haven't watched all of these but there's a half dozen embedded in the following link from the search on the Fox News sight.

If I understand it correctly:

First condition: gun pushed into object, goes out of battery, trigger pulled, and gun fires when it returns to battery (pulled away from object).

Second condition: gun is fired, trigger is not allowed to reset, gun is hit, gun fires.

Both occur when the trigger is pulled so this isn't exactly like the P320 drop thing but still, am awaiting more info. I have a few of these pistols.

That is pretty damning!

Trigger pulled, pistol discharges. Trigger does not reset, shooter tries an immediate action drill tap, rack - and unintentional bang.

Reload pistol after shooting, trigger does not reset, shooter does not realize trigger has not reset. Unintentional bang while re holstering into kydex iwb holster.

And FN's service bulletin doesn't say the fix is mandatory as this can only occur in limited circumstances? Yikes!

Trigger has to be pulled back in both situations. Then the slide has to he pushed slightly out of battery, without cycling. Wouldn't happen with a tap rack drill unless the operator was holding the trigger down.

I'd agree that the circumstances for this to happen are unlikely.

The first instance yes. The second instance, unless I'm getting it wrong, is that the trigger, when released, does not reset completely. THEN if tapped and racked or hit or in one instance, reholstered, the gun will fire. Clearly, in the video, the gun fires with the finger up along the slide, both when struck and when tap and racking.

That was my understanding as well. Trigger does not reset, then striker falls when pistol is jarred.

If I'm viewing and reading everything right, it has to be pushed slightly out of battery with the finger in the trigger. THEN it can be released and tapped and made to fire, like in the video.

So you're right, the operator could release the trigger but they'd have to have been holding it while it's pushed out of battery.

Going re-review when I get a chance.

Def sending in my FNS 9 full size regardless.
