If you dont already have a reason NOT to vote for Cory Booker, here is one.

Democratic presidential candidate Cory Booker is proposing that all gun owners be licensed by the federal government, a process that would include an interview and safety training.

National licensing is one of more than a dozen specific proposals in a sweeping gun control agenda the U.S. senator from New Jersey released on Monday. It's his second policy rollout in three weeks as he tries to break through the crowded Democratic primary field .

While current gun owners and first-time buyers would be subject to the federal license requirement, a transition period would allow current owners to come into compliance, the Booker campaign said.

No such national gun license program currently exists. Thirteen states and the District of Columbia have enacted some form of licensing or permit rules before people can buy guns, according to the Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence.

"I am sick and tired of hearing thoughts and prayers for the communities that have been shattered by gun violence it is time for bold action," Booker said in a statement.

People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf. -  George Orwell

A gun is like a parachute. If you need one, and don't have one, you'll probably never need one again.

Someone needs to stand up and call for a national voter's registration and ID card.  Than watch how fast thus guy comes to the defense of civil rights.

Well, Brett said he was innocent and said he didnt do anything . Cory is stating he did what he said he did.

Now, on Bookers suggestion. Considering that most of us want limited government, this one is a no brained. Dont support Booker

Any elected official who proposes such a blatantly unconstitutional law should be immediately removed from office for violating their oath of office.

Can't see this guy getting any real momentum.  He is more artificial than most libs. He has zero accomplishments, and of course, is a BS artist.  My gut says he'll be out early.

So can I assume Booker will sign on as cosponsor for any bills requiring a Federal voter ID?

In his show today, Rush referenced a new poll in which Booker and several others had ZERO respondents indicating that they would vote for these candidates.  That "gay" mayor was another zero (IIRC).  And "Slo Joe" was 32 points ahead of Bernie.

The "field" may start thinning out fairly soon.

I'll sign on to a Federal Arms License.

Under the condition that it is issued to everyone who is not a felon or has been treated for a violent mental illness, regardless of whether they own a firearm or not. Upon being eligible to vote, a voting card AND a Federal Arms Owner's License are issued, free of charge, to every citizen of the country.

Said license will allow the unrestricted ownership of ANY firearm or armament, including all military weaponry that the holder can afford and store, as well as any and all accessories, are allowed to the licensee, regardless of previous gun control or firearm regulatory legislation.

As well, any record of what firearms are owned by licensees is strictly forbidden. Similarly to any arms, accessories, or ammunition.

Upon the commission of a crime that disqualifies an individual, the license is revoked and any arms owned are to be transferred to family members who can own firearms, or sold at fair market value and the funds given to the former owner.

Sure, that sounds viable to me.

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary for the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."

Who gets to keep and read books? The Media? Or is it the People?

And if course, the Federal Worship license.....until you are herded into the american Leftist version of Dachau or Auschwitz. Gotta license and register all those pesky Deity worshipers. They're the ones that won't worship "Fearless Leader".

(Hey, it worked for the Left's hero, Hitler. Now there was a supreme Leftist, yeah, buddy!!)

Back to topic....Cory Booker can fold his ideas until they're all corners, and stuff them into his left anterior naris

That of course is the  tragedy.  But he would not be "the first black POTUS" which seemed to be such a big deal before. He also doesn't have the Chicago machine behind him.

Maybe this is the way the argument should be framed: "Everytown for Gun Safety, Mom's Demand Action Applaud Senator Cory Booker for being the Latest Presidential Candidate to Unveil a Gun Violence Prevention Platform."

Laws do not and are not intended to prevent anything. They provide a means to punish when someone commits a crime. That's why no number of gun control laws will do a damn thing to stop mass shootings, gang violence or any other misdeed committed with a firearm. If someone is willing to commit murder and face the punishment, they aren't going to change their mind because of a gun control law that carries less of a penalty than murder. Because gun control efforts will continually fail to stop any violence, there will be no end to the anti's efforts. Because they won't ever acknowledge the failure of their policies, the anti's will continue form their path of incremental elimination if all firearm rights. We have to recognize that it is all or nothing for them, draw a line in the sand and refuse to retreat a single, solitary step. Appeasement or compromise is madness when the other side's goal is the elimination of private firearm ownership.

Mr. Booker is not female enough to win in a race that includes a female Native American & Kamala Harris. I don't foresee anybody male getting the pick over a minority female since the Democrats are still doing their identity politics and making decisions with their feels.
