Rather than try to defend the indefensible in front of the Supreme Court, Pritzker now says his church edicts are only guidelines.

CHICAGO, Ill. (WTVO/WGN) — Gov. JB Pritzker has lifted all restrictions on churches in the state after a challenge by the U.S. Supreme Court, and has issued a set of guidelines instead.

Former Chicago mayoral candidate, community activist and businessman Dr. Willie Wilson sent a letter to Washington, D.C. to enlist the support of President Trump and Attorney General William Barr in the dispute regarding houses of worship.

At least Pritzker realized that he had no standing with his tyrannical actions, which is why he capitulated.

The platinum lining of this pandemic, even if it is a severe threat to my very life as an extreme-risk individual if I get it, is that it is teaching the government that they do not get to violate the Constitutional rights, or act like tyrants over, the People of this country.

Whether by the soapbox, ballot box, jury box, or ammo box, it's essential that this happen now.

One part of the EO not constitutional----all parts not constitutional !!!!

One step forward though......

Kavanaugh said he wanted a brief from the state by 8PM tonight.

Much like the 2A case from NYC, he chose to make the case moot rather than have the court rule that he is exceeding his emergency powers by going past the 30 day limit without legislative approval.

That is actually what I was thinking.

The state did that to my CCL appeal, because they didn't want me to be able to take my case to Federal court and set a precedent.

I really think that deliberate actions to moot to avoid an adverse judgement, when it's obvious that the original offense is unconstitutional, should be invalid and the ruling should be made in any event.

That would prevent a great deal of these idiotic games from being played.

So we're still playing games with this ??? Thanks for pointing that out....

Disorderly conduct

The pastor of Logos Baptist Ministries, 7280 N. Caldwell Ave., was issued citations for disorderly conduct after police said two church services were held with multiple people on May 17 in violation of the governor's executive order restricting group gatherings. According to police, there were "at least 50" congregants present for the two church services and they were not wearing face coverings. The citations issued come with a fine of $100 to $200, police said.

This is what makes me mad, governor over stepped his authority and quite possible broke the law, but the court says don't do that and he goes along his merry way where anyone else would be under the jail by now! Time to hold these maggots accountable! AND I mean including criminal charges if warranted!

Then the whole thing is/was just one BIG GUIDELINE no?

Businesses shut and threatened, lively hoods, jobs lost, wages lost, taxes lost, people dealing with depression, were all caused by a GUIDELINE or mere suggestion?

I heard people could not attend funerals, over...a...."Guideline".....

CBS 2 Chicago

Chicago police officers have been ordered to "no longer use force to disperse large gatherings," as tensions mount over the months-long stay-at-home order ...

"Until further notice, large gatherings will only be monitored until the crowd disperse on it's own. Please ensure that all supervisors under your command are made aware of this instruction," top brass wrote in a memo to commanders and officers Thursday night.

The court also rejected an appeal from two churches in the Chicago area that objected to Gov. Jay Pritzker’s limit of 10 worshipers at religious services. Before the court acted, Pritzker modified the restrictions to allow for up to 100 people at a time. There were no recorded dissents.

Disorderly conduct for not wearing a mask. No way I'd ever pay that fine and would probably sue the police.

All of this is completely absurd.
