McCroskey Posted April 30, 2020 at 09:14 PM Share Posted April 30, 2020 at 09:14 PM A few years ago, I bought some ammo for my Nambu T-14 that had been made from reformed brass. Mosrt of it worked fine but four of the rounds didn't fit properly and are not useable. They've been sitting in my safe ever since. How do I safely destroy/disable these so that I can dispose of them? I don't feel great about throwing live ammo into the trash.

Anonymous One Posted April 30, 2020 at 09:19 PM Share Posted April 30, 2020 at 09:19 PM I had some old ammo that looked pretty bad and I was a bit concerned about whether or not to us it. My neighbor at the time was the deputy chief of the Orland Park PD and he told me that the PD would would destroy it.

Interesting. I hadn't thought of it, but obviously it would be. I don't think I have enough spare laying around to make much impact on my nitrogen in my garden soil, but good suggestion. RandyP Posted May 8, 2020 at 05:29 PM Share Posted May 8, 2020 at 05:29 PM Pair of pliers, twist off the bullet, dump the powder on the grass, trash can the rest. Easy-peasey.
