I talked to Terri Glass Saturday at the Boone county fair. She is clueless about this. Don't get me wrong the woman is not stupid she just wasn't aware of what was on the agenda when I talked to her.

A veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard, or reserve

- is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to The 'United States of America', for an amount of 'up to and including my life.'

That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.

I attended the meeting tonight.  Fred did a great job presenting both the issue of the symbolic county resolution supporting the IL Family Protection Act (1304 I believe) and the CCW resolution in Winnebago Co.  Overall the Public Safety board sounded favorable and supportive.  One gentleman came out firmly against it, although he is not against carrying guns, he just wants it to be open carry!  The Boone Co sheriff had not yet had a chance to talk with the Winnebago Co sheriff, but seemed to be supportive with some reservations about issuing permits without statewide legislation.

We will need to absolutely pack the Boone Co board meeting where this is brought before the entire board.

That is really excellent news!  Thanks for attending.

I just got home from Boone County as well, "Do You Feel Lucky" covered pretty much everything that happened.

The board unfortunately asked me to join Fred with speaking to them and we were together able to cover all their questions.

As to the resolution, Boone County goes Yellow! It is the pro 2a resolution.

Just got off the phone with RRSTAR reporter Kevin Hass who attended the Boone County meeting last night. He had questions about the 2A resolution compared to the CCW resolution which I helped clarify the best I could. There will be a write up on the meeting in tomorrow's paper but may be online later this evening. I will watch for it and post the link when it is uploaded to RRSTAR.com

Fred, he gave me a call to ask about CCW and I'm interested in the article he wrote, he mentioned that he started reading the Gun Facts I gave him. I hope and think it will be fair and balanced.
