EdDinIL Posted January 17, 2019 at 07:41 PM Share Posted January 17, 2019 at 07:41 PM I hope our legislators flood the House and Senate with pro-gun bills. HB0367 may become a casualty, as will hundreds of others, but maybe that will be a signal to gun owners in Illinois the extreme threat that exists right now. None were being heard and Madigan/Cullerton were getting grief over that. I seem to recall they picked a week and heard 4 or 5 of the most innocuous ones...dont think any got through committee. BUT that doesnt mean we should stop trying. We need to get more of the 2M FOID and 300K CCL holders active.

ChicagoRonin70 Posted January 18, 2019 at 02:03 AM Share Posted January 18, 2019 at 02:03 AM Well, can this be appended to the Dealer Licensing Bill by a Second Amendment-friendly legislator, the way riders get put on other bills? That way, it poison pills it, if someone wants to vote against this, it will torpedo the entire bill.

ChicagoRonin70 Posted January 18, 2019 at 06:52 PM Share Posted January 18, 2019 at 06:52 PM The dealer ill has already been passed and signed. In that case, are lawsuits being filed or have already been filed to jam it up? If not, then someone is behind the 8 ball on that front, because there should have been litigation in the chamber ready to fire on that onerous and repressive legislation the moment it was passed. JTHunter Posted January 19, 2019 at 03:27 AM Share Posted January 19, 2019 at 03:27 AM Ronin - either that or we make "judicious and appropriate use" of what ammo we have. Or, we do what the Declaration said we should do:But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. Raw Power Posted January 19, 2019 at 11:34 AM Share Posted January 19, 2019 at 11:34 AM We should force legislators to pay for body cameras to make sure they're not taking bribes. I mean, if we're talking about things that actually happen in the real world, and preventing them. #onlyslightlyjoking
