MrTriple Posted March 1, 2018 at 03:24 AM Share Posted March 1, 2018 at 03:24 AM Sigh. None of you get it, do you? Can none of you see a negotiating tactic for what it is? He’s done this over and over and over again: take an extreme position, force the other side to one-up you on the crazy, and then use it against them. I’m shocked nobody has figured this out yet. This is why I get extremely annoyed with a lot of gun owners because they wet their pants every time something APPEARS to go wrong without even considering the underlying circumstances. They’re their own worst enemies.

I am thankful for the tax cuts and I was a die hard Trump supporter, but I want to see action, and the proposed action from today is really hoping theres a Rand Paul 2020. You don't get elected by red blooded americans, then backstab them without people getting p*****. If all this legislation passes, Obama will have been a more pro-gun Pres than Trump. Too many people still believe the 4D chess theory. Show me serious results, and I will shove my foot in my mouth. Oh yeah, and VOTED ID! Enough of ilegals being able to vote and being put ahead of actual citizens. I want to see mass scale deportation. I'm tired of my once beloved city becoming a third world ****hold. Sorry for the terrible grammar, but I'm mentally and physically exhausted after today(like many of us) and frankly, I'm done falling for the underwater chess nonsense. Blindly trusting a man is how we've gotten to where we are now. Its ok though, if he continues to undermine his base, and turncoat, he'll be a one term president that could have done so much more. Even worse he'll be setting up the perfect storm for the left to rally and elect a full blown socialist pres in 2020. Again sorry for the rant, but I'm just spewing whatever comes to my mind at this point. Enough is enough.

Again sorry for the rant, but I'm just spewing whatever comes to my mind at this point. Enough is enough. Like Mr. Triple said he's using a tactic and working the situation, despite the MASSIVE pressure to "do something". Despite the unbelievable obstruction and all out war from the liberal fraud media Trump marches on, DACA... He made a generous offer and the Dummycrats refused ( he knew they would ), he's been deporting illegals all over the place and new border jumpers are way down, wait until DACA expires in March. the wall...8 sections are being tested now, obstruction galore but he hasn't given in, this will take time. Trump has picked more federal judges ( no liberals ) than any other president in history including PRO GUN / Constitution Gorsuch. Did you think Trump would show up and wave a magic wand and make everything perfect ? The entire corrupt system is against him, the Democrats obstruct every inch of the way, Soros funded "activists" have sheep galore doing their bidding and parroting whatever they're told, the entire fraud media never stops the biased nonsense, etc, etc, etc, etc. I don't get the "turncoat" and "undermine his base" thing, when and where ? Obama exploited every mass murder and pushed for massive gun control and let's not forget Fast and Furious. As far as your once beloved city ( i grew up on the west side ), it's infested with liberal socialism loving sheep that can't get enough taxes, restrictions, fees, and they keep voting for more. I understand your frustration but hang in there and never give up because that's exactly what the other side wants you to do.

tkroenlein Posted March 1, 2018 at 11:55 AM Share Posted March 1, 2018 at 11:55 AM So here's what I gleaned from the video. We will get a fix NICS based bill, incorporating rights-violating mental health and DV add ons, as well as incentives for states to require intrastate background checks, and an age bump to 21 to buy "assault weapons." We may get something meaningful in the way of gun free zones, though how the fed has any power to regulate that other than federal property is beyond me, except they may alter the federal language concerning schools. A net loss in any event. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

He's not calling for an AWB or mag capacity limits. He's far better than Bush as far as guns go, Bush wanted to make the 1994 AWB permanent. I'm just gonna put this here: "During the meeting, Democratic Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota suggested inserting an addendum on domestic violence to a new bill on background checks. "So if you can add that to this bill, that would be great," Trump said about Klobuchar's suggestion, before turning to Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California. "Dianne, if you can add what you have also, and I think you can, into the bill." Feinstein cracked a smile and appeared to be gleeful about the suggestion: "Joe, are you ready," Feinstein quipped to Sen. Joe Manchin, the Democrat from West Virginia. "Can you do that," Trump asked. "Joe, can you do that?""
