Crosman DPMS full auto looks like cheap fun to be had in the back yard.

PSA will stir up some doodoo with a MP5 clone. Under a G, sign me up.

That's the first I heard of the full-auto Crosman, so I had to Google it. It looks like they're available for pre-order now at Pyramid Air and now I want one!

https://www.pyramydair.com/s/m/Crosman_DPMS_SBR_Full_Auto_BB_Air_Rifle/4571

That's probably a more realistic purchase for me than any of the MP5 clones right now. As those prices come down it would be hard to justify a Ruger carbine if an MP5 clone is in the same price range.

I'm really curious about what voodoo Franklin Armory has done to make that firearm legal, lots of interesting theories that almost all involve some kind of compromised performance. In any event, kudos to them for poking another stick in the eye of the NFA.

I really want to know more about Walther's PPQ SC (subcompact). There have been a few leaks about it, but in light of the buzz around the Sig P365 they are losing out on a lot of potential buzz of their own by keeping so quiet.

Just pre-ordered one from Pyramyd Air, and got a $20 discount from the list price, $19-something off with a coupon code, and free shipping ($13.49) for the order being over $150. Also, ordered it as a package and saved another $5-something on 6,000 BBs, 12 CO2 cartridges, and a tube of Peligun oil.

Varmints beware!

Yes, I have seen those and am going to get some to try out. They might be quite good for pest control.

However, for plinking and target shooting BBs and pellets, I just take a largish, flat box, cut some rectangles of cardboard the same size as the inside of the box, and stack them in there as baffles to absorb the projectiles. I'll put a piece of blown polymer foam sheet about an inch thick on the front of the box, to snag low-velocity shots and bounce back, and it will withstand about 15,000 shots or so before it wears out. Then, I cut open the box, scrape out all of the BBs and pellets and sort them, reuse the ones that are still good, and recycle the ones that are damaged.

http://www.automag.comAutomag made their announcement about their return, which has been happening ever since AMT went under. So I guess I'll believe it when they fulfill orders.

One interesting thing is they are coming back in .44AMP, which I thought was a stupid choice. Then I read that .44AMP is actually just trimmed .308. With people's comfort level and rigs for trimming brass from 300blk this might of actually not been as dumb as I thought.

Use a damp towel hung half way inside the box. BB's hit and drop.

My dad set me up a range as a kid in the basement and we would shoot into an old piece of carpeting. It hung from the ceiling joists and the bb's would drop flat down into shoe box. On a very rare occasion they would penetrate all the way through.

No thanks. I want the pistol to slap a brace on or to SBR! This has nothing to do with practicality and everything to do with fulfilling a childhood dream. Otherwise I'd probably be looking at the Scorpion carbine or even the Ruger you mentioned. I'm curious how the PTR MP5 clone is coming along. I am happy with my PTR 91 and would absolutely buy one (or two) if they were the same price as my GIR. I thought that I read somewhere that they said to watch out for SHOT 2018. It could be an expensive year...

It's beautiful

Please let us know if they do work better than steel BBs for pest control.

I don't know how, but Franklin has figured out a way around NFA for an 11" barrel. The comments section has some good ideas on what the workaround might be.

They built a high velocity lead scatterer.

Straight lands and grooves to avoid being classified as a rifle or a shotgun.

Phooey.

I know that often, my opinion on this isn't welcome in certain circles...but why do companies persist on pulling crap like this?

No on likes the ATF, I don't, we don't...but it is what it is. Currently, they are the governing body. Why companies continue to make things that are intentionally attempting to get around current laws is beyond me. It is inviting the ATF to open very old books and begin to redefine things like that stupidity as illegal or regulated...and for what? Some stupid "not a sbr" that isn't even fully functional in its inherent design?

This isn't going to end, and morons like that are going to wake the dragon...and in the end, for no real reason what so ever.

I'd be more excited for the PTR if it didn't have a $1900 MSRP and had a polymer handguard. I'm really after the looks here. The rail is fine, and I could always change the handguard, but even at a street price of maybe $1500 I think I'd still get the Zenith. 922r parts already included would be nice, though, and my PTR 91 has been rock solid. Decisions, decisions...

It's really nothing new. And not just gun related. With the amount of rules and regulations we deal with in our daily lives people will always look to find a way around those regs. heck, our elected officials do it all day long. I'm of the belief that this is good for us just to show the idiocy of our laws we do deal with.

PTR MP5 is interesting but the PSA brace called to me. Was that a prototype Tailhook Mod 3? Im behind a firewall blocking most gun sites so I'm limited on the SHOT coverage. Zenith, PSA, PTR...happy to see some alternatives appearing for the MP5 market.

For sure. I'm hoping it drives prices back down. Zeniths were around $1500 and POFs around $1200 not too long ago.

That definitely looks like a Tailhook. I sure wish Gearhead would introduce their Mod 3 soon if this isn't it.
