It can be worn around the waist or higher (with an over-the-shoulder strap), is made of a soft material, and uses a stiff insert in the outer wall of the pouch to minimize printing. It can be worn with any type of attire, both OWB and IWB. I wear mine while running under my running shorts. It is very comfortable and doesn't move much at all with the Glock 42 and Ruger LCP.
