Looks like the gun industry is trying to start becoming more involved with gun owners. Sig Sauer just formed the Armed Citizen Alliance (ACA) organization and Taurus International also signed on as a founding sponsor. What I found really interesting though is that the new organization is chartered in Illinois. That should thrill our friends on the other side.

Here's the link to the new site http://www.armedcitizenalliance.com/ if anyone's interested in checking it out. Hopefully the ISRA and IC can work out some sort of affiliation with this new group.

EXETER, NH --(Ammoland.com)- SIG SAUER, one of the leading manufacturers of self-defense firearms, is joining with other shooting sports partners to help launch the Armed Citizen Alliance (ACA).

Designed as a resource for ordinary citizens to practice, train and become more proficient with defensive handguns, the ACA is intended as a first-contact point for the concealed carry community.

In addition to becoming the leading resource for concealed carry information, practice and training advice, the ACA also intends to help new or less-experienced shooters find venues to improve their overall safety and gun-handling skills.

MIAMI --(

Ammoland.com)- Taurus, the world’s foremost manufacturer of firearms announces their support of the newly founded Armed Citizen Alliance (ACA) organization.

The ACA is a newly established, non-profit corporation that provides an avenue for ordinary citizens to practice, train, and become familiar with the use of concealed carry handguns and other personal defense firearms in a safe and organized recreational context that simulates real-world situations.

The goals and objectives of the ACA are twofold. The first part of the mission is to provide the overall concealed-carry and personal defense community and industry with an organization and a program to which personal-defense firearms customers can turn to as their “first-contact” channel for practice and familiarization. The ACA enables the entire concealed-carry community to be pro-active on the issue of practice, preparation, and training.

The second component of the mission is to offer an attractive and easily accessible program to involve new and inexperienced purchasers of concealed-carry & personal defense firearms to achieve familiarization with their personal & home defense firearms in a safe, fun-filled environment.

About ACA: The Armed Citizen Alliance is a not-for-profit corporation chartered in the State of Illinois. Its primary purpose is to provide a national context for citizen practice and preparedness with concealed carry handguns and other personal defense and home defense firearms, and the production of the annual National Armed Citizen Challenge event (NAC2).
