Was Henry Pratt company posted or have GFZ policy?

Just wondering, since it has not been covered in the news, if the Henry Pratt Co., where the shooting in Aurora took place, was posted, or if their policy made it a GFZ for employees? Even though the police reportedly responded in four minutes, it took them 90 minutes to find the shooter and kill him. It seems that none of the other employees in the plant, or at least none of those that were shot and killed, were armed, and thus pretty much defenseless against an armed aggressor. Even if armed, other employees would not likely have been able to stop the murderer before he shot anyone, but it seems reasonable to think that the carnage might have been less extensive if the shooter had been forced to take into consideration another armed person shooting at him.

I guess it is too much to expect, especially in Illinois, for large organizations to realize that a GFZ policy, "No Guns" signs, and similar efforts will be absolutely nothing to stop a disgruntled employee or other person from entering their building and shooting, and that allowing their licensed employees to carry concealed firearms actually makes it both less likely that a shooter will choose that location and have a greater chance of stopping the shooting once it begins.

I 100% agree that GFZ signs and that useless policy have NO impact on criminal behavior. Every shooting event, IMHO, is unique unto itself.

As a hypothetical, an active shooter incident, happening inside say a WalMart where I'm shopping, would NOT have me drawing my legally carried handgun and seeking out the shooter. It would more likely have me either fleeing the store from an exit away from the shots fired and calling 911 or hunkering down in the nearest position of relative cover and preparing to return fire if needed while calling 911.

My CCW neither obligates nor motivates ME to protect much beyond my circle of concern. But moving from a hypothetical to a reality changes all plans I might have now, safely at my home PC keyboard, sipping coffee.

Remember all those people getting killed by CCL licencees at Mariano's??? THAT was TERRIBLE!!

My employer has a sign and a policy of "no weapons". I already told my wife that if I'm shot and killed at work, she's to sue the company. Unfortunately, I work as a professional and I have yet to see any employer in my industry that's not posted and doesn't have a policy. If I were independently wealthy, I'd either stop working, change industries, or ignore the policy and take my chances of being discovered and fired.

I know the feeling. I'm glad I work from home now as my "office" is vary well armed.

If those for gun control really believe that they are safer in places without firearms, why don't they put up signs on their homes saying "This is a Gun Free Home" or words to that effect. Its clear that those favoring gun control just don't want the rest of us to have guns, and they want to be able to control us. No compromise, no surrender.

Remember this campaign?

These people are still around, but are coddling ICE violators lately.

I hope this is a parody.

It’s not. They really exist and believe GFZ signs prevent shootings. But they fear you and me, legal gun carriers. They think that if we have guns, we will shoot people that bump into us at the store or who grab the last loaf of bread. Since we carry guns, they believe that we have mental issues.
