mchenryill Posted August 10, 2018 at 04:35 PM Share Posted August 10, 2018 at 04:35 PM Has anyone else run into this? My son did an address change on his FOID / CCL back in June. His FOID went active 8/1, but his CCL still shows under review. Since it's only an address change, why wouldn't they go active together?

Jeffrey Posted August 10, 2018 at 05:19 PM Share Posted August 10, 2018 at 05:19 PM When I changed mine I think it was about 2 weeks between FOID going active and then CCL.
Kingcreek Posted August 10, 2018 at 06:32 PM Share Posted August 10, 2018 at 06:32 PM How much more efficient it would be if the systems were connected. The CCL should be considered an "enhanced Foid" and should take the place of the stupid Foid. Shouldn't have to have both if you have a CCL. Molly B. Posted August 10, 2018 at 07:29 PM Share Posted August 10, 2018 at 07:29 PM There are times I do wish they would turn me loose with it, but I am not an employee of the ISP or the company doing the system merge . . .
ealcala31 Posted August 10, 2018 at 07:52 PM Share Posted August 10, 2018 at 07:52 PM IC could be hired as an outside consultant to help software IT people to make the system more efficient.
ealcala31 Posted August 10, 2018 at 09:42 PM Share Posted August 10, 2018 at 09:42 PM I just did a change of address today and the ISP website shows my FOID & CCL "under review." After calling 11x's and finally getting through, I spoke w/a person named Joy who stated that my change of address was "under review." She stated that my CCL & FOID are valid and that the new address has to be verified by ISP that's why it states it's "under review."

Kingcreek Posted August 10, 2018 at 09:53 PM Share Posted August 10, 2018 at 09:53 PM How many people do they need on the payroll to not answer the phones or email, and to not really actually merge any systems? And to have 5 years to not do it? Grandpa59 Posted August 14, 2018 at 12:04 AM Share Posted August 14, 2018 at 12:04 AM I did address change July 13th and was issued foid aug. 4th but my ccl is under review.
Bobjr Posted August 20, 2018 at 04:32 AM Share Posted August 20, 2018 at 04:32 AM I did my address change 06/28/18. Foid issued 07/20/18, CCL still "Under Review." I originally submitted with prints, havent carried since I moved because of the legal "gray" area about the old address CCL being valid. So frustrated. Tango7 Posted August 20, 2018 at 11:22 AM Share Posted August 20, 2018 at 11:22 AM I moved from one side of town to another, changing ZIP codes but not municipalities. I was "Under Review" for well over a month. Luckily Molly was able to make an inquiry and verify that it was still active while awaiting approval, which came a day or two later. Glock23 Posted August 20, 2018 at 02:01 PM Share Posted August 20, 2018 at 02:01 PM I'll be moving in early October, so hopefully the renew option is available by then so I can avoid the BS address change fee...
Jeffrey Posted August 20, 2018 at 03:53 PM Share Posted August 20, 2018 at 03:53 PM I carried while "under review" for my address change. I knew in my head that I have a right to protect myself. I'd already been approved previously. The only thing different is the numbers on a card that quite frankly IMO is unconstitutional anyway. In a worst case scenario if I had to use my gun during that time, I had no second thought that I might be doing something wrong. I was still the same person with the same "record."
