sctman800 Posted June 4, 2013 at 09:05 PM Share Posted June 4, 2013 at 09:05 PM Short and to the point, at least it spells out NO MORE STAYS will be granted. I was hoping for a bit more on why the stay, oh well. Jim.
lieut89 Posted June 4, 2013 at 09:05 PM Share Posted June 4, 2013 at 09:05 PM "No further extensions to stay the court's mandate will be granted." I guess we have that going for us.
TyGuy Posted June 4, 2013 at 09:06 PM Share Posted June 4, 2013 at 09:06 PM What a frickin joke. How much longer will we let them deny our already recognized RIGHT? Should we really be expected to follow a law already ruled unconstitutional? 180 day stay + 30 day extension = 210 days 180 days for ILSP to implement + 90 days to get out a permit (IF they follow the law) = 270 days So 480 days, i.e. 1 year, 3 months, 23 days of a COURT denying what they ruled as a Constitutional right. SAXD9 Posted June 4, 2013 at 09:06 PM Author Share Posted June 4, 2013 at 09:06 PM Extensions are routinely granted in the court system. Court systems work very slowly. If I told you that your case would be tried in 1 year, you would think that is a long time to wait. The court system, on the other hand, would say that is extremely fast. With this in mind, 30 days is nothing to judges in that court system.

What's to stop the government from, well I don't know, saying people of a certain political persuassion can't vote from Jan 2016 - April 2017? I mean heck, they are denying another right here for over a year.

Brigg Posted June 4, 2013 at 09:20 PM Share Posted June 4, 2013 at 09:20 PM Somehow...some way...we HAVE to be able to use this incredible, non-stop and flagrant abuse of her position against our Constitutional rights against her in the future. TyGuy Posted June 4, 2013 at 09:20 PM Share Posted June 4, 2013 at 09:20 PM Seriously, this country is about sunk. A federal court says "you have a right to carry a firearm, BUT you can't have your right for 480 days" (paraphrasing), and we're supposed to listen? The flag is going upside down tonight.
