In the ongoing evolution of Wisconsin gun law, a Milwaukee County judge has ruled the state's ban on concealed weapons unconstitutional as applied to a man who had an unloaded, encased gun under his car seat three days after he had been robbed at gunpoint in the same area of the city.

In an eight-page decision and order, Circuit Judge J.D. Watts agreed that for Jeremy Pinnow to exercise his right to bear arms for security and self-defense, he had few other choices.

The man's story is an incredible example for the need to be able to arm yourself. Read the full story for more.

This is also an unusual case because he was charged for having an unloaded encased firearm in his vehicle (which it seems is/was illegal because it was within reach).

So dis-couraging to read all these pro-RTC articles, decisions and news report from other states when one lives here in the last socialist holdout state of Chicago.

I'm with you but at the same time I'm happy for those other states.

It only makes our case stronger here in our home.

The end of the acticle says the firearm must be unloaded and encased but doesn't say it has to be inaccessible. Another case of a LEO wanting you to be "more legal" than the law requires. Like LEOs that don't like the law requiring you to have a handgun unloaded and encased and saying you can't have a loaded magazine in the case and transport when on foot. Law says nowhere that transporting must be in a vehicle some LEOs or their departments say that is the way it is. I hope this guy sues for false arrest and gets a nice settlement.
