Colt guy Posted February 20, 2019 at 01:24 AM Share Posted February 20, 2019 at 01:24 AM Bad press , clown who lied got a FOID. Will ISP take a step back and slow it down to scrutinize more now to try and eliminate this from happening again ? Not that a lying scumbag wont still be a lying scumbag. Glock23 Posted February 20, 2019 at 01:31 AM Share Posted February 20, 2019 at 01:31 AM I think they'll just expand their initial background check on the FOID. Seems pretty obvious to me that they don't check any federal databases for a FOID... there've been multiple cases of people (even members here) who have had a FOID for years, but the ISP finds something when doing the background check for the CCL, and subsequently revoke their FOID. 357 Posted February 20, 2019 at 01:45 AM Share Posted February 20, 2019 at 01:45 AM Wasn't this guy in the NICS system for being a convicted felon? We don't need redundant FOID and unreliable ISP and be at their whim to exercise our right.
Bird76Mojo Posted February 20, 2019 at 02:55 AM Share Posted February 20, 2019 at 02:55 AM I saw on TV today that there was a small press conference and the people there were having a moment of silence for the deceased, and right in the middle of the group was a guy holding up a stop gun-violence sign. Something about his "right to be safe"Pitiful and ignorant.

BigJim Posted February 20, 2019 at 04:37 PM Share Posted February 20, 2019 at 04:37 PM Everything will be fine once the bill requiring fingerprints for FOID applications becomes law.
InterestedBystander Posted February 20, 2019 at 06:01 PM Share Posted February 20, 2019 at 06:01 PM Everything will be fine once the bill requiring fingerprints for FOID applications becomes law. yeah.. /s one of the legislators said that would have no effect on legal gun owners. I bet they dont plan on paying for the cost of getting printed. And I think they were also planning on passing the print check fee along to us as well. I do expect them to include additional databases like they do for CCL. Then we can wait 120 days for FOID too while they do not beef up staff.
