Gator4838 Posted November 3, 2020 at 07:11 PM Share Posted November 3, 2020 at 07:11 PM Where or who is responsible for these silly yes or no votes on the Chicago ballot. Such as should IL restrict the sale or possession of "assault weapons" and high cap mags.there were a couple other silly ones.
Euler Posted November 3, 2020 at 07:55 PM Share Posted November 3, 2020 at 07:55 PM The county board in each county selects the referendum questions. Since there is a limit of 3 questions by law, it's a common tactic for the board to approve useless questions in order to keep substantive questions off the ballot. TriumphRider Posted November 13, 2020 at 10:15 PM Share Posted November 13, 2020 at 10:15 PM Did they define the term "Assault Weapon"? Unless they defined the phrase, it's a completely meaningless question, and results not used for anything more important than tossing in the trash with the used cat litter. Bitter Clinger Posted November 13, 2020 at 10:30 PM Share Posted November 13, 2020 at 10:30 PM An "Assault Weapon" is any weapon they don't like. The list is fluid and ever changing. Eventually will encompass all guns of any kind.
