  1. OK, So WI will honor the IL permit but IL will NOT honor the WI permit. Likewise, AZ honors the IL permit but IL will NOT honor the AZ permit. And there is no way to get a non resident IL permit at this time? I thought you could it was just uber expensive (license fee $300). Did they change the law?
  2. IANAL BUT Equal Protection Clause for one along the lines of abolishing the poll tax and literacy tests for voting rights. TYGuy is right this should be attacked as similar to VOTING rights. And going after ISP for non-compliance shows a pattern of denying rights - its actually a good set-up. Similar to how many southern states got put under scrutiny for election laws so that every voting change or election change must go through the civil rights commission.
  3. I belleve poll taxes and literacy tests for voting were done away with in the Civil Rigths Bills of the 60's. I find it hard to see the difference for any type of gun related license. The costs of running an election and providing people with the opportunity to vote is borne by the tax paying public. Why should the same public not cover the cost of an equal Constitutiional Right. Why hasn't this angle been worked even for the FOID card. i know $10 10 years is not a big deal BUT CCW permits are typically more. They aren't like driver's license. which is a privilege NOT a right.
