  1. So............what happens if one is still "under review" after 60 days? Or approved, but no new card in hand after 60 days?
  2. Great. Dart's team is doing whatever they want and he's asking for the law to be changed so he can get more. I know you contacted the ISP once, but do they know the whole story?
  3. But that's not how it started. The sheriff's dept attempt at first contact resulted in leaving a letter stating his FOID was revoked and to turn it in.
  4. Cook Co has had a FOID revocation team for over 5 yrs now. Language was added to the law making it all legal too. I didn't know about it until the other day. I don't think most anyone else did either. https://www.illinoisreview.com/illinoisreview/2013/07/cook-county-sheriff-sets-up-team-to-seize-revoked-foid-cards.html Now Dart wants the law changed again to mandate a FOID revocation task force in every county, paid for by increasing the FOID fee, to give even more data to local law enforcement, and make non-compliance a felony instead of a misdemeanor. https://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/ct-met-sheriff-dart-gun-law-legislation-20190222-story.html
  5. Possibly. More likely the contractor that develops the website doesn't know any better and the ISP doesn't know and/or doesn't care.
  6. There are several threads on this issue now. In some instances it sounds like the ISP is making things up depending on who you get on the phone. All I can say is the ISP's system sucks. All they do is make things more complicated and make things up out of the blue it seems. The law says you're only required to "request" an address change. It used to be free and simple. How can the Sec. of state do basically the same thing with millions of DL's and registrations in a much simplier way? It boggles the mind.
  7. Didn't read far enough down in the 13.2 paragraph. The ISP's website says this: Saying one "may request" to saying "must match" is kind of confusing, but then it's the ISP. Where in the act does it say your FOID must match your DL? In their old system, one could just submit an address change, no registration, no fee just like the Sec. of State allows one to do with their DL and registrations. Only CDL holders must obtain a corrected DL in a specified time frame.
  8. So there was absolutely no problem with your FOID having the wrong address when making your purchase, correct?
  9. One always could. Just tell them when you hand them your ID's that the DL is your current address and that's the one you use. The ATF only cares that you have an ID with a current address.
