I don't like it either. The funds spent for government should be allocated by the proper authorities (legislature) with instructions how and where that money is to go. Him paying it out of his pocket (that is something I am very suspicious of= who is actually giving it and why) means that the check and balance system is not used. It is more of the same ole crap- I got money so I do what I want.

Those receiving the money are state employees getting compensation from a private entity. Big conflict of interest. It is no different than George Soros or the Koch brothers paying the salary.

What would the reaction be if we found out that a billionaire was paying a million dollars a year to The president because he felt he wasn’t being paid enough?

When you look at the underlying principle it’s the same.

Bribery under the guise of a supplemental pay check.

Flynn nailed it with RICO.

Check out Michael Dowd https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Dowd_(police_officer)

This guy supplemented his paycheck with money and drugs from a dealer in return for protection, robbery of competition, raid tips, etc... got 12 years. NYPD 75 district.

Do they work for the state of Illinois or JB? Under cross examination theyâll probably answer, both.

The Governor's staff are employees of the state and should be serving the interests of the state. If Pritzker is paying them, they're serving his interests, not ours. Maybe this is legal in Illinois but it sure as heck shouldn't be.

On the other hand, if he really thinks it's good to allow private citizens to buy better service out of state government, maybe he should make it possible for everyone to do it. If I could slip the DMV guy a fifty and get whisked to the head of the line next time I'm renewing my driver's license, that would be great. Come on, J.B., take a Sharpie to those bribery statutes and make us all happy!
