jawman Posted May 19, 2019 at 10:54 PM Share Posted May 19, 2019 at 10:54 PM I am getting instant email notifications when someone replies to a thread I have replied in, which is how I have my settings set, and how I like it. However, I want to disable the subscription for a specific thread, as I no longer want to receive email notifications for that one thread. Reason being, it is a CCL renewal times thread, and I'm getting bombarded by emails with people posting their renewal wait times, and of course most people are not indicating whether or not they applied with or without fingerprints, so much of their information is rather worthless to me without that important context. So therefore I want to unsubscribe from that thread. I click the link in the email that says "You can unsubscribe at any time here" but all it does it take me to the login page. Once I log in, it takes me to the main page. And even if I'm already logged in to the site, it still takes me to the log in page everytime I click the link to unsubscribe. And yet I continue to still receive email notifications day after day on that same thread. This has been going on for over a week now. Why is it not unsubscribing me? Furthermore, I looked for a place where it shows my currently subscribed threads, but could not find anything. Every other forum I am a member on has a location that shows all the current threads you are currently subscribed to and get notifications on, and you can go there and manually change the subscription type per thread (instant, daily, unsubscribe, etc.). But I couldn't find anything like that here on this forum. Note, I'm not asking about how to edit my default notification settings sitewide, rather I am asking how can I change the notification setting (specifically to unsubscribe) for just one specific thread? Appreciate any advice. EDIT: I just discovered I can go to the specific thread in question and unfollow it from there. But that still doesn't explain why when I click the link in the email that says "You can unsubscribe at any time here" nothing happens.
Molly B. Posted May 20, 2019 at 04:27 AM Share Posted May 20, 2019 at 04:27 AM Glad you found a way to unsubscribe to the topic. When I click on the link in an email notification, it takes me to the sign in page too.
