  1. So, we can appoint special counsels to deal with matters, why can't the court appoint a special court made up of judges that don't have conflicts to deal with an issue like this?
  2. If I'm reading everything correctly, as the seller, I don't have to submit anything to the FFL. The buyer is required. I keep on file that I sold it for 10 years and did the ISP check I completed my part. Yet, if the buyer fails to file it, it is on him/her.
  3. Placing the term in quotes was do to using the State's term and definition, not mine. We may not like the fact and disagree with the use of the term/phrase, but legally, the State has defined (a very poor effort at it) the term ""assault weapon"" in accordance with the State law.
  4. Had an interesting discussion with one of my neighbors about the new law. He said he couldn't figure out what to do and didn't want to go to jail, so he registered all his guns. After talking with him, he had ZERO guns that needed to be registered, but had registered all his shotguns and pistols, with none of them having any of the required items to make them a registerable item. So, when I see the amount of guns registered, I wonder how many of those are actual guns that fall under the requirements or are they mostly guns like my neighbor, who hunts and occasionally traps shoot, but doesn't have a single ""assault weapon""?
  5. It was from the link in the original post which was put out by ISP as LEADS update on the new cards.
  6. That is correct, you need to destroy your card and then pay to get replacement sent to you after each use. (Joking of course) We must keep the cash flowing to the government, they have lots of important people counting on that money.
  7. So does that fixed magazine tube count include with or without a plug?
  8. All my guns identify as muzzle loaders, so I don't have to worry about any of this.
  9. My friend who got married this fall, has moved to MO, but still has his house here in IL that he is working on getting on the market. He has switched some of his information (credit cards, etc.) over to his new address in MO, but had not switched his DL yet. He went to order ammo from Freedom Ammunition and they refused to ship it to him since he had an IL DL, the ammo would have to be shipped to an FFL in IL. He went in and used his wife's credit card and had it shipped to their MO address, no issues.
