CCL Renewal and ISP Web Site Issues

So I have taken my refresher course and have my cert. I went to the ISP website to log in and start the renewal process and try to log in with my same information that I used when I applied the first time 4.5 years ago. I literally entered the information directly from my hand written cheat sheet so to speak. It tells me my information is invalid and when I type my CCL number in right off the card it says that the number is invalid because there needs to be 11 digits. I only have 10 digits on my card.

Has anyone else had anything like this? I have sent the ISP an email through their contact us page and the first pull down for what question I have is something like "website doesn't recognize correct information" So it would seem that this may be an ongoing issue. It's been over a week and I have not heard back from ISP.

A while after initial applications were accepted, the ISP website was revamped to get rid of the Java client requirement that caused so many problems with logging in and applying. At that time you were asked to create a new login. If you have not done so, you wont be able to login and need to create a new one. (iirc same login ID can be used if no one else grabbed it)

I dont know but doubt you will be able to start the renewal process yet assuming it is too early for them to have enabled your renew button...but I could certainly be wrong. I was kind of under the impression the ISP is still working out final details of rules, requirements and process.

When I click on the CCL information link, there is another link that says renewals and address or name changes. Once you click that link it takes you to a login page that asks for the login information. That's where I have tried to log in and it's not working. I have not created a new log in if that is necessary as I had no reason to log back in to the site until now. I am waiting to hear back from them but I am not holding my breath. I may try to create a new login, but I really don't want to gum up the works before they answer me. LOL

UPDATE

Called ISP and I do have to submit a change of address for my FOID and CCW to avoid any complications with LE.

It's $5.00 for the FOID and $75.00 for the CCW to change my address - even though the address change is because of 911 service being activated and has nothing to do with my physical location changing.

Then... I have to do a renewal in Feb 2019 (with a picture les than 30 days old) for both!! $10.00 for the FOID and $150.00 for the CCW.

Thanks Illinois for fleecing every penny you can get out of folks who just want to exercise their 2A RIGHTS!!

Same here.

Taking the renewal class on September 10, and wait for the button to activate.

One question, do we need to upload a new picture?

My guess is yes, but until they actually release the renewal site, it is just a guess.

Yes - the ISP told me this morning that I will need to upload a new picture for a CCL renewal.

Picture has to be less than 30 days old.

You might try adding a "0" after the 14 to make your number 11 digits. Good luck.
