IWB Holster recomendations?

Hello, hope you can help me decide on an holster. I recently picked up a new ATI Titan FX 45acp Officer model and I want to carry it more comfortably. Not much selection in my area dealers to look at. Online I have looked at the Aliengear and Supertuck holsters. I prefer leather, at least against the skin. Can anyone give me any insight to either holster or other options? Hate buying online without trying it first but it looks like it might be my only option.

Thank you in advance.

If you are looking for leather, Milt Sparks is the way to go, IMHO.

Can't go wrong with Milt Sparks. Matt Whitefield and Ryan Grizzle make nice holsters, also.

I have AlienGear and Crossbreed holsters for a couple guns, including the Browning High Power. If I wanted to try another brand of the Hybrid style, it would be the Black Arch Protus-M. They don't make one for my High Powers.

I've discovered I prefer a single clip kydex holster for the High Power and my tiny Sig P238/938. As a fellow with a larger waist... having less material under my belt feels more comfortable.

My favorite/most beautiful holster is the Triskel by Garrity's Gunleather. I use it occasionally, but still prefer the single clip kydex.

I had the Nate Squared Professional ( https://n82tactical.com/product/professional-sw-mp-shield/) until I added the laserguard to my Shield.

Then I switched to the Hidden Hybrid holster as N82 didn't make one for the laser-equipped pistol.

I like them both. The HH is smaller and once you get used to it just as comfortable as the N82 which is a pretty comfortable holster.

Milt Sparks

I have been using the Criterion for a year now and find it the most comfortable and durable holster I have had.

The kydex with leather holsters, all ways end up breaking the kydex at the screws that attach it to the leather backing. They can not take the flexing that every day all day wearing require.

I've been using a Crossbreed Supertuck everyday for over 5 year. Obviously I love it. I have a tote full of other holsters from other manufacturers, including Alien Gear. I'm a larger guy, with a 44" waist, carry at 3 o'clock, and really appreciate having this holster.

Another vote for Milt Sparks! I use with the Milt Sparks Summer Special 2, I carry a Colt Combat Commander, it's very comfortable. It also has the steel reinforcement.

If you want a 2 clip hybrid, IMO AlienGear is hard to beat as far as what you get for your money.

I personally use a RawDog Tactical holster due to it being a hybrid design (leather on the body side) for comfort but also being a single clip holster so it's easier to take on and off. I'd say the AlienGear was no question more comfortable but the RawDog Tactical is a better balance of convenience and comfort.

I can also vouch for Black Arch as someone else mentioned. I had one of their holsters back when they were known as SHTF Gear, and it was nice.

Your Mileage May Vary, as always.

I know Aliengear has a trial period, when you can return for refund. it looks like Crossbreed has a 2 week try out.

I tried a couple different Aliengear holsters, and ultimately decided that style was not for me.

The Nate Squared Pro is probably the most comfortable holster I've ever had the pleasure of putting on, and it does an excellent job of helping to conceal your gun.

That said, the Pro requires a "twist" of the firearm in order to draw that I couldn't get the hang of to save my life.

I highly recommend it IF you know someone who will let you try it out, or if you have money you don't mind wasting if it turns out it's not for you.

I tried to dremel mine to allow just a straight up draw and ended up ruining it... so it went into the trash lol.

I found the N82 'twist' to be fairly easy to adapt to. The twist is necessary to clear the nub that recesses into the trigger guard to hold the pistol in place. A slight inward twist clears the nub and out it comes. I found the bulk of the holster a little harder to get used to but once I was used to it I didn't even notice I was carrying any more.

Oh, I'm aware of the physics of the required act, I just couldn't do it anywhere even approaching efficiently.

Maybe one's waistline might factor into it? lol
