TRJ Posted February 12, 2020 at 03:41 PM Share Posted February 12, 2020 at 03:41 PM This was expected. The senate is the real spot to stop this.

Hatchet Posted February 12, 2020 at 08:25 PM Share Posted February 12, 2020 at 08:25 PM If i remember reading yes they do. But the Dem's are trying to pass a new law changing the terms to recall anyone sitting to be near impossible. Tyranny at its finest.
speedbump Posted February 12, 2020 at 08:41 PM Share Posted February 12, 2020 at 08:41 PM Is there any expectation for it not to pass the VA Senate? The Democrats only have a two seat advantage in their Senate. One has been vocally opposed. Three others are maybes.
cybermgk Posted February 12, 2020 at 09:33 PM Share Posted February 12, 2020 at 09:33 PM Is there any expectation for it not to pass the VA Senate?A week or so ago, there didn't appear to be enough votes in the Senate. Senatorial districts cover more ground, and some Dem Senators have large R numbers in their districts, unlike the fairly gerrymandered House districts in VA, that is partially to blame for VA getting to this point (that and 40% voter turnout). see above post.
