He would have likely lost in circuit and appellate; but hsd a chance in IL supreme court. He might win initially in federal; but would bet agsinst him at the next level. Much more chance of a fair (and likely expedited) hearing -- if the case isn't mooted by him quickly backing down in the face of multiple pressures. Fwiw.
