Hello all of my Illinois friends please sign and share this petition to help keep self-defense in the hands of law abiding citizens and not the government. What we are trying to do is change the new ccw law so we as law abiding citizens can feel free and safe from crime by carrying our firearms in our public parks and on public transportation (cta, pace and metra) and not fall as prey to criminals, if we can get this on the ballot we can vote for it and cut the gun grabbers out of the mix and let the people decide. Also the crime us gun owners wish to protect ourselves from is most prevalent in minority communities that our elected officials seem unable or unwilling to help US the tax payers and victims prevent with that being said please read the story below which is just another sad example of the danger our elected officials are putting us in.

Jogger at Rainbow Beach Sexually Assualted

CHICAGO — Cops are looking for a man who sexually assaulted a jogger at Rainbow Beach Park Saturday afternoon, police said in a community alert.

The 24-year-old woman was jogging along the trail near the 7800 block of South South Shore Drive about 12:15 p.m. when a man approached her from behind, according to the alert.

The man knocked her to the ground and sexually assaulted her before taking off, police said.

He was described in the alert as a black man about 30 years old, between 6 feet and 6 feet 5 inches tall with medium build and black shoulder-length dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing a red baseball cap, black T-shirt and blue jeans, according to the alert. The attacker is said to have a foul odor, according to police.

Now if this young women was carrying a legally owned firearm and fought back against her attacker with said firearm she could have faced criminal charges due to the restrictions on carrying a firearm in public parks. If you agree this law should be amended please click the link below sign and share this petition.

CHICAGO — It 12 am on a Monday, your on your way home from just 2 more stops on this CTA redline train and your almost home. Right as your pulling off from the 63rd street station the guy sitting at the end of the train car begins to walk towards you yelling and just as you turn to look at him you notice something metal and shiny in his hand, realizing that its a knife you begin to reach for your .380 you carry concealed for safety only to remember that since you decided to leave at home because you were taking public transit to work instead of driving today and it's against the law to carry a concealed firearm on public transportation.

Now if you were carrying a legally owned firearm and fought back against this armed attacker with said firearm you could face criminal charges due to the restrictions on carrying a firearm on public transportation. If you agree this law should be amended please click the link below sign and share this petition.
