Let the battle begin.

The Bjork and then Clarence Thomas travesty will seem like Mr. Rogers Neighborhood. In fact, I'll bet Clarence will be watching the nominee hearings and the ongoing riots in major cities with eyes wide open.

Now we know why Trey Gowdy decided not to run again.  :fear: :frantics:

Can you imagine him questioning some of the lawyers during oral arguments ?

It would be glorious.  I really do hope he gets nominated, but I recall him being asked about it a while back and he said he wouldn't be interested.

I'm sure the right will feed some token nominations through the woodchipper, the left will figure out how to obstruct, and we'll end up with another swing justice.

The left will "Weekend at Bernies" RBG until they have a more favorable political climate.

Another reason the republicans must win and win big in the midterm elections. The more senators they have the less the left can obstruct and pull their crap. I think he will also get a third choice since Gingsbird won't last long.

Dems are already crying for a holdoff until after the election.

With the filibuster no longer a concern, not appointing a replcement justice should never happen

Not sure why.  POTUS still has to originally appoint them, for them to approve EVEN if they manage to win a majority (and that is ANYTHING but certain).  Frankly, F them.

Exactly, they want a split court for 2+ years, this is very different than a presidential election year. They want to hold out hope of being able to block his nomination for the duration of his first term.

Watching twitter with the #SCOTUS tag is hilarious. Almost too fast to catch. You have to stop it from scrolling....

The D's are going completely insane. I mean some of the crazy stuff...

#SCOTUS IF you don’t vote this november against this anti woman, anti immigrant, anti black Constitution America, it is your fault. It just is.

What happens if Paul Ryan's girl gets raped by a man who turns out to be his long-lost son from a college keg party who just converted to Islam while aiding Canadians smuggling shoes across the border? Asking for a friend. #RoeVWade #SCOTUS

Not really excited about the idea of moving to Canada, because: cold. But if our friends to the north would consider invading us, I, for one, would surrender immediately. #SCOTUS

And these are clean ones... the complete breakdown is crazy. I mean literally acting that the day the court convenes Roe v Wade will overturned by some type of decree. Or screeching that the court will start removing black people from their homes...

I am pretty libertarian, but watching folks on the left have their heads explode at every turn makes me not want to even consider their opinions and thoughts.

Contrary to popular opinion, no one owes you anything.
