The latest installment of how many ways can you dress up a 92G and charge double the price for it.

Fixed

Actually, when considering how much it costs to buy a 92G-SD on Gunbroker getting the Brigadier Tactical made sense.

Probably the same going to be true with the new one.

These editions are about want, not need, so in that respect they're pretty cool and affordable good looking guns. But yes, any 92 will do or can be made to do the same thing.

Wilson Combat just announced/leaked (not sure) their new collaboration gun with Beretta.

The Centurion Tactical

http://berettaforum.net/vb/showpost.php?p=1300914&postcount=85

G model, rail, dovetailed front sight

What's different about this over the other Beretta the do? Other than, I'm assuming the base pistol?

The Brigadier Tactical is a Wilson spec 92G-SD. The new model is pretty much the same gun, the major difference is it has a shortened and lightened slide.

Got it. I guess I'm just going to keep an eye out for a Brigadier Tactical locally. That's the one I really want anyway.

But the 92 is such an iconic model. Everyone should have some version of the 92 / 96 platform in their gun safe. :)

Or on their door

It's the gun so popular that it is specifically banned by all anti-gun locations in Illinois. :P It does show how iconic the gun is that even the ISP picked it at their model.

GAT in Dundee has one on Gunbroker...in theory you could walk in and purchase.

Oh, they do indeed. I found the listing, but the timing is not right at the moment. This one is going to have to wait until after the new year. We'll see if it's still around.

It's a pity that Beretta didn't make those things for guys like me who have DonaldTrump hands.

You have options. Pick up a Vertec or M9A3 model. Buy Wilson parts online and upgrade at home, or send to Wilson and they'll do the fluff and buff.

Wilson has a short reach trigger that cut 1/8 inch off reach at expense of different pull geometry.

The M9A3 also has a Vertec type grip. FDE is the only color, but the pistol itself is affordable. It just needs a G decocker and maybe trigger polish if you really want to get it done. If sending for trigger work a custom color could be had too.

The Wilson Berettas are not subject to the Wilson only parts rule. Regular Beretta parts work fine.

I've never been able to find one locally. AFAIK Beretta is still running behind on production.

I know I've seen them at Cabella's in Hoffman Estates. Stupid $25 penalty tax there though.

If you have an FFL guy skip the brick and mortar place and shop here. http://peakfirearms.com/index.php/firearms/beretta-m9a3-9mm-fde.html but I don't think I'd pay more than $800 for this one personally.

Well they still had it. Now I have it.

Congrats! I love when stuff works out like that.

Did it have the action tune?

Wilson sells holsters on their site, I've got the Lo-profile II model. It's very tight. Had to stretch it with a sock ehen the plastic bag trick didn't work.

A good kydex holster is JM Custom.

You're going to love your new toy.

The one I got did not have the action tune. I'm a fan of kydex so I'm on the lookout for a good kydex holster. Safariland makes an OWB holster for the Brig Tac but I don't have experience with them. G-Code is my go-to, I have 5 of their holsters already.

I should get to make it to the pistol range next weekend to give the gun a workout. Let me tell you though, the two 120 mile round trips up to GAT for paperwork and pickup were no joke. That ate up a whole lot of time. The up side is that I discovered River Street Tavern in East Dundee. Their food is absolutely amazing. If I ever go to GAT again, I'm going to dinner again while I'm up there.
