Apparently there's some drama between Cassidy and Madigan. Madigan won't be happy. Friend at news agency texted me last night and said to expect this to not go away quietly. No details, but something to do with retaliation on Cassidy for speaking against Madigan/Madigan initiative.

Madigan's corruption is infamous and it has become popular among democrats to take shots at him in the media to make themselves look virtuous, but he is still the most powerful politician in Illinois.

 

Cassidy is just another corrupt democrat - holding down a ghost payroller job with the Cook County Sheriff's Department, and now she's complaining that she lost her ghost payroll position ?

I'd love to see him flatten Cassidy and end her political career.

What everyone needs to realize is its a machine, there will be someone in the wings after Madigan leaves and it will be business as usual.

 

They are embedded at every level of government. They pay favors via uncontested propery tax breaks to corporations and wealthy property owners. They rig contracts to specific union contractors who've paid for their election shenanigans like staking candidates to split votes in contested elections. They compromise the finances of the state by doubling their salary right before they retire so they can collect double the pension. As mentioned they ghost payroll all their friends and family to do nothing then collect a pension at the end.

 

They are in every single office of Cook County government creating new schemes and scams to pocket money rather then make anything better. They own the water, the schools, the social service programs, property, transportation, etc.

 

They have a stranglehold on every single commerce license and every day they scheme up more things to license to collect more campaign contributions. They intentionally rezone commercial spaces so every person that moves into a vacant commercial property has to play the game.

 

They are in the assessors office, they are in the attorney General and states attorneys office, they own the judges, and they sit at the head of real estate tax law firms.

 

They don't have as strong a hold outside of Cook, but they don't need it. They have enough voters, enough unions, enough campaign resources, and a big enough trick bag to control the state.

I can't wait for this state to crash and burn. Let's start from zero. Let every department justify its existence in front of the taxpayers. Let's zero the budget and the tax code. Then, let's build it again one block after another with a cost associated with it. Give us a proposal for a new constitution. Good luck ratifying it by referendum without a strong gun-rights vote and a strong fiscal conservative vote.

Kevin Quinn sent about a dozen text messages to the woman that were personal in nature beginning in August 2016. The woman worked for various political committees, but Wier Vaught would not detail which ones: I cant put any limitations as to what they are.

 

The contents of those were generally Mr. Quinn asking her if she would go on a date with him, or if she wanted to get drinks, Wier Vaught said. She made it clear that she was not interested in anything but a professional relationship

Sex offenders aren't my favorite people, but the sex offender registry is supposed to be for predators, people who are an active threat to the physical safety of others and must be watched closely to insure they don't succeed in any physical attack. Exhibitionists typically don't attack anyone. Exhibitionism is not an indicator of imminent danger.

That's horrible. She's getting sexually harassed every five feet.

 

Didn't Garrison Keillor and John Lasseter get fired for doing that?,

I find her repulsive, so I have a hard time believing her claims. But it's Springfield, and they may have lower standards. Regardless, I have no sympathy for gun grabbers so I'll enjoy watching them destroy each other.

This is why I find it hilarious, it's total pointless virtue signalling. Definitely not the hill to die on for a bright machine politician staking her future on the #MeToo movement.

 

Tom Dart's solution was literally to bribe the inmates with a pizza party for not masterbating in front of female jail and court employees for 30 days. When the lawsuits from the #MeToo crowd started to roll in he switched his virtue signalling to championing a bill to make them register as sex offenders.

Yes I agree, probation as a felon VS probation as a felon as a registered non pedophile sex offender for someone that would whip it out to stick it to the [wo]man gives you about the same rehabilitation chance.

 

If you sign up for a system that attempts to treat mental illness via a judicial system because you've closed your long term mental health facilities due to budget cuts and healthcare reform, you've stolen the money that would have hired adequate security, and then insist this is the arena for equal opportunity female employment you deserve what you get.

 

The irony here is the non mentally ill criminal that used leverage, corruption, and coercion to ask someone out for drinks is actually worse, but the "victim" also knew what she was signing up for.
